9680, RRI Jakarta, 0950-1055, Sept 15, back on the air for Ramadan. Were
they saving their transmitter for Ramadan or have they been doing
repairs/maintenance for the past 9 weeks? Heard in Basha Indonesia, pop song
and ballad, choral anthem, ToH into Ramadan program, brief Islamic music,
two OM in long conversation about Ramadan and Islam, Jakarta phone numbers
given to call or send 'SMS' text, on-air phone conversations, reciting from
the Qu'ran. Poor to fair till ToH, due to QRM from CNR-1 (1000*) on 9675.
From 1000-1055 was fair-good, then covered by *1055 of CNR-1 (jamming CBS
Taiwan). Unfortunately during Ramadan the Kang Guru Radio English (KGRE)
program here on Wed. & Sun. (1000-1020) is usually
preempted.

7295, Traxx FM via RTM, 1555-1613, Sept 15, DJ with pop songs in English, ID
"Traxx FM", ToH two pips, "The 12 AM news update from the RTM News Center",
items about Indonesian earthquakes, the giant new Airbus jet landed Saturday
for the first time at Hamburg Airport in Germany, etc., sports news, back to
pop songs. Best reception was the 5 minute gap when the strong
firedrake/music jamming on 7300 was off (1600* - *1605).

address and (something new) phone number, YL with details about abductees.
Mostly poor, usual QRM from 9480, plus some pulsating noise, probably
jamming. OM with IDs during the program: 'This is Shiokaze Sea Breeze from
Tokyo, Japan'. After Shiokaze ended, Radio Free Chosun (presumed)
immediately started with orchestra music and into programming in Korean.

EMR 6045 khz this sunday - also dial up service
Hello Dear Listeners of EMR,
Tomorrow the 16th of September at 1200 utc on 6045 khz will be our last
transmission of 2007, this is due to personal reasons (family life) and work
load.
From our September Transmission onwards EMR will have a NEW QSL card
and a completely NEW Information sheet for listeners who send in correct
reception reports to our email studio@emr.org.uk or postal address.
This is a NEW design QSL card and information sheet.

Our programmes are relayed via our Internet streaming service at:
(1200, 1500, 1800, 2000 UTC), and repeated at the same times on Monday?

Radio Mirchi launches in Kolhapur

Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM has launched in Kolhapur taking
the total number of stations to 23 across the country.

Radio Mirchi is already operational in places which
include Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Indore,
Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, Pune, Patna,
Jalandhar Goa, Bhopal, Vadodara, Kanpur, Rajkot,
Varanasi, Nashik, Lucknow, Surat and Aurangabad.

The shows that the Kolhapur station have are Hello
Kolhapur, Khoobsurat,Total Filmi, Bumper to
Bumper,Club Mirchi, Purani Jeans and Dil Chahta Hai.

Other special weekend shows includes Sunday Ko Shut-up
which airs songs back to back.

Entertainment Network (India) Limited COO Nandan
Srinath said, '"It's truly a proud moment for Radio
Mirchi with the station launch in Kolhapur. We plan to
expand rapidly and the west zone is an important
market for us. We expect the Mirchi style of
programming of Radio Mirchi to revitalise radio in
Kolhapur, just the way we have been able to win the
loyalty of listeners in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and
other cities."

Radio Mirchi Kolhapur station head Sushant Nayar said,
"Kolhapur is a perfect blend of the new with the old -
the city is an important centre of Marathi film
industry. Radio Mirchi in Kolhapur, like all its other
stations, will have localised programming content with
local news that you can use everyday, every hour."
