CHINA
4830 China Huayi BC, 1235-1304, March 22, on air phone conversations
with many 'ni hao' (a standard 'hello' greeting), 'Wei. Wei.' (a
traditional Chinese phone greeting also roughly meaning, 'Hello.
Hello.') and the distinctive 'ba ba ba' (number 888) and seemed like
'shi' (number 4). Assume this must be a local phone number for this
program? ToH 5+1 pips. Thanks to Mark Schiefelbein's initial tip.
'China Huayi Broadcast Co.', blue E-QSL card, full data, in one day,
v/s Qiao Xiaoli (2883752 [at] 163.com), who is the CHBC QSL Manager.
My reception report, along with a copy of the E-QSL card that was sent
to me, is at:
The blog seems to indicate that there are no QSL cards left to send
out via postal mail, but will continue to respond to reception reports
now by sending out only E-QSLs.

Laotian: 'Hi, I am Max. Hello my name is Kathy. Welcome to New Dynamic
English', 'New Dynamic English is a basic English language course and
an introduction to American people and culture', segments in English
followed by assume Laotian translation. Per <
http://www.dyned.com/voa/ndeprog.shtml > this was the first program in
the series. At < http://www.dyned.com/voa/schedule.shtml > noted:
"Listeners in Burma can listen to New Dynamic English on Saturday
evenings Rangoon time, 1430-1455 GMT/UTC", via VOA(?) but no
frequencies given and not sure how current the website is. Fair-poor,
lost at 1430 to QRM from 6135. [Howard]
6130, Lao National Radio, 1412-1427, April 5, for the second
consecutive Sat., in English and assume Laotian. 'Hello I am Elizabeth
Moore. Welcome to Functioning in Business English', 'Functioning in
Business is an intermediate level business English course with a focus
on American business practices and culture', 'Todays interview:
introduction part 3. This program focuses on business English',
interview with Charles Blake who works for International Robotics,
fair-poor, transmitter briefly cutting in and out a number of times.

MALAYSIA
5964.97, Klasik Nasional FM via RTM, 1633-1709, March 26, in
vernacular, ballads, commentary (mentions of 'RTM' and 'Malalysia'),
several distinctive 'Kasik Nasional FM' singing jingles, ToH 5 minutes
of news (Iraq, Basra, Sadr City, etc.), back to pop songs, weak,
clearly parallel with audio streaming
< http://www.rtm.net.my/radio/html_bi/index.html >. Only able to hear
this after China signs off at 1557, on 5965.0.
[Howard]
6049.64, Asyik FM via RTM, 1347-1400, March 29, in vernacular, DJ with
pop songs, on-air phone calls, sounds of rooster and donkey followed
by 'Asyik FM' singing jingle, fair with light het, best in LSB.
[Howard]
6049.64, Suara Islam/Voice of Islam via RTM, 1400-1405, March 29, in
vernacular, 2 pips, choral Anthem, full ID with frequencies, ID 'Suara

MALAYSIA/SARAWAK
7130, Sarawak FM via RTM, 1316-1345, March 29, in vernacular, DJ with
pop songs, IDs, fair reception, // 5030 clearly heard under CNR-1.
[Howard]
vernacular, playing pop songs/ballads, on-air phone calls, ToH several
clear 'Limbang' IDs; at tune-in was poor, mixing with PBS Nei Menggu
(// 9750), but by 1345 signal was improving, at 1400:50 covered by
sudden sign-on of strong Firedrake/music jamming. Conditions here
change dramatically on a daily basis, usually with PBS Nei Menggu
dominating, but I got lucky today. Many thanks to John Wilkins for the
alert. He was the first to hear the change in the schedule. For years
Wai FM was heard here, but clearly there has been a change in their
schedule. My first Limbang FM reception! Website at
< http://www2.rtm.net.my/rtmsarawak/LimbangFM_Website/index.htm >, but
unfortunately there is no audio streaming.

some songs/ballads, ToH sound of phone ringing - 'Wei' (traditional
Chinese phone greeting), long segment of conversation between 2 YL,
mostly fair, clearly the online audio streaming matched the SW
programming, but about 25 seconds slower, fair-poor. <

The one that I listened to was the third one down, below "AM", picture
